‘Symbolic’ by Sarah Hyndman

ITC Zapf Dingbats is one of the more common dingbat typefaces. It was designed by the typographer Hermann Zapf in 1978 and licensed by International Typeface Corporation.

Hyndman‘s Type Tasting piece is a nod to David Carson, surfer, designer and editor of experimental music magazine Ray Gun. He once disliked a Ray Gun article on Bryan Ferry, and so set the entire spread in Zapf Dingbats.
