‘Magnetic’ by Toni Giddings
“The green lines that you see show the gravity field. The viewing film shows the magnetic field of the paper and it is that that makes the font unique. The power of nature!
“I made this font by first designing on my computer. I used the simple magnet block shape to create a sturdy font, then cut it out of magnetic rubber and used magnetic viewing film to photograph each word on high contrast.”
‘Magnetic’ by Toni Giddings will be displayed at Type Tasting with the London Design Festival 2013 at the V&A.
