This is a sneaky peak for Type Tasters before public booking, but shh don’t tell…

To coincide with the London screenings of the Sign Painters movie, Mike Meyer, one of the film’s stars, is coming to town to deliver an intensive two-day sign painting workshop.

The workshop will be hosted in the Type Tasting studio and is brought to you by Ghostsigns.

Date: 8-9 February 2014
Time: 9am-5pm each day
Location: Type Tasting studio, Chocolate Factory N16, London
Cost: £295 per person
Bookings: Advanced credit card/paypal bookings only via Ticket Tailor

The workshop is an opportunity to pick up a brush and practice some of the basic strokes before sketching and painting your first letters. Throughout the weekend you’ll also be developing your critical reflection skills so that you can continue your progress after the workshop ends. You probably won’t be quite ready to start a commercial sign painting business on Sunday evening but you will have realised that you can paint letters and the joy that this brings.

“Just being there made me feel very alive!” Judith Albers, Workshop Participant, Berlin

The cost of the weekend includes:
• Two full days of sign painting tuition from Mike Meyer and the Brilliant Sign Co team
• All materials
• Lunch on both days
• Refreshments throughout

Tickets are strictly limited to allow plenty of personal coaching and support throughout the weekend. Book early to avoid disappointment and learn to paint signs with one of the industry’s true characters. In the words of Mike Meyer himself: “If you have the ‘FIRE IN THE BELLY’ and really have a passion for lettering… this is a workshop for you!”
